New 'Godzilla x KONG' Movie is Now in Production With a 2027 Release Date

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are charging full speed ahead with the next thrilling installment of their Monsterverse saga. The latest film has been officially titled Godzilla X Kong: Supernova, and cameras are already rolling, the studios confirmed this past Friday. Mark your calendars — the epic clash is slated to hit theaters on March 26, 2027.

Fans got a small taste of what's to come with a freshly dropped teaser. The clip takes viewers inside the headquarters of Monarch, the secretive agency that monitors the towering beasts known as Titans. A computer screen flashes a real-world phone number — (240) MON-ARCH (or 240-666-2724) — which, when dialed, greets fans with an automated message straight from the Monsterverse itself.

This will be the sixth entry in the blockbuster franchise, building on the massive success of 2024’s Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. Actor Dan Stevens is back in action as Trapper, while the film introduces new faces like Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O’Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill to the monster-fueled mayhem.

While the teaser keeps plot details under wraps, eagle-eyed fans noticed a call originating from Sedona, Arizona — a location with deep ties to Monsterverse lore. Hardcore followers might recall that Sedona was where the creature Scylla was unleashed in Godzilla: King of the Monsters after King Ghidorah rallied the Titans to challenge Godzilla. The teaser also sprinkles in fun nods for sharp viewers: a Godzilla bobblehead nodding away and a coffee mug with the cheeky slogan, “Keep Kong and Carry On.”
